Warm a heart give a coat, the 8th edition!
People living in a crisis situation do not have it easy in winter. More and more people in the Netherlands are living below the poverty line. With the 8th edition of the 'warm a heart & give a coat' campaign, the power of Brainport is visible again. As a partner of Brainport for Each Other, we are there for each other in the Brainport region.
From October 9 to 30, 2024 we collect warm men's, women's and children's coats in various locations in the Brainport region for people who desperately need a coat. Families with money worries, young newcomers, homeless people, people living in poverty and for whom buying a warm winter coat is not obvious will receive the coats in the last week of October.
In 2023, we distributed 2,300 collected coats to local foundations: #Awesome Exchange Workshop, Clothing Bank Eindhoven, Salvation Army, Network Good People, Social Solidarity Foundation, Living Room for Refugees, Inloophuis 't Hemeltje, Neos, Dress for Success, Clothing attic And the surplus of these coats took thrift store Karoesell over to add to their second-hand winter collection. This way it ends up fast and local and we make Brainport Eindhoven region winterproof.
